Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Shopimo collects when you browse the store, place an order, create an account or contact support, how that information is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to shopimo.com and to the emails we send about your orders.
1. Who we are
Shopimo is an online store selling everyday household, grocery, vitamin and personal care products in large sizes and multipacks, shipped within the United States. The store is operated by Levy's Technologies LLC (“Shopimo”, “we”, “us”). We are the business responsible for the personal information described here.
2. Information you give us
- Order information: first and last name, email address, phone number, shipping address, the items and quantities you order, and the totals for your order including sales tax.
- Account information: if you create an account, your name, email address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never as text we can read) and any addresses you save for faster checkout.
- Payment information: your card details are entered directly into fields hosted by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry or security code. We receive a payment reference, the amount, the result, and the card brand and last four digits.
- Returns: the items you send back, the reason you choose, any note you write, and the tracking number of the return parcel.
- Messages: what you write in the support chat or send us by email, including any order numbers or details you share.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up for weekly picks.
3. Information collected automatically
- Device and connection: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen size and the pages you open on the store, which we use to keep the site working and secure.
- Store activity: products viewed, searches typed, items added to the cart, and whether a checkout was started or completed. This tells us which products to show and which parts of the store need work.
- Delivery estimates: the ZIP code you enter to see a delivery date. It is stored in your browser so the date is ready next time.
- Email activity: whether an email we sent you was delivered and opened, reported to us by our email provider.
4. Cookies and local storage
Shopimo uses your browser's local storage rather than advertising cookies. We store your cart, your ZIP code and, if you sign in, your session so you stay signed in. Our payment processor sets cookies needed to process a payment and to detect fraud. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and do not build advertising profiles. Clearing your browser storage removes your cart and signs you out.
5. How we use information
- To take, process, pack and ship your order, and to tell you where it is.
- To charge the correct amount, calculate sales tax for your address and issue refunds.
- To create and maintain your account, and show you your orders and returns.
- To handle returns, print return labels and issue the refund when a return arrives.
- To answer your questions in the chat or by email.
- To send order emails: confirmation, shipping with tracking, delivery and refund notices.
- To send marketing email only if you signed up, and to stop when you unsubscribe.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and payment disputes, and to keep the store secure.
- To understand which products and pages work, and to improve the store.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
6. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing the contract with you (taking and delivering your order), our legitimate interests (running and securing the store, understanding how it is used, preventing fraud), your consent (marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time) and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you pay, your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Stripe handles the payment, and its own privacy policy applies to how it uses that information. Shopimo receives only the outcome and the details needed to match a payment to an order and to refund it later. If you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, your device sends Stripe a payment token and the contact and shipping details you approve in the wallet sheet; Apple and Google do not tell us your card number.
8. Shipping and returns
To deliver an order we give the carrier your name, shipping address and, where needed for delivery notices, your email or phone number. Returns are handled through EasyPost, which creates the USPS label and QR code and tells us when the parcel is scanned and delivered back to us. Carriers and EasyPost use that information to move and track the parcel.
9. Email and messages
Order emails, account emails and, if you signed up, weekly picks are sent through Resend. Order and account emails are part of the service and are not marketing: you receive them because you bought something or asked for a sign-in link. Marketing email has an unsubscribe link in every message, and unsubscribing does not stop order emails.
10. Support chat and automated help
The chat on the store is answered by a support assistant that can look up an order once you verify it, and by our team. Conversations are stored with your messages, the order they relate to and the outcome, so we can follow up and improve support. If you ask whether you are talking to a person or software, you will get a straight answer. Do not share card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers in the chat: we never need them.
11. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the store, and share only what each one needs:
- Supabase stores the catalog, orders, accounts and support conversations, and hosts the functions that run checkout and returns.
- Hostinger serves the store pages.
- Stripe processes payments and refunds.
- EasyPost and USPS create return labels and provide tracking.
- Resend delivers our email.
- Anthropic provides the model behind the support assistant, which processes the conversation to draft replies.
- Mapbox suggests addresses as you type at checkout, if address suggestions are enabled.
These providers act on our instructions for the purposes described here.
12. When we share information
We share personal information only: with the providers above; when you ask us to; to comply with law, a subpoena or a lawful request; to enforce our terms; to investigate fraud or protect the rights, property or safety of our customers or our business; and if the business is sold or merged, in which case the buyer must honor this policy for information it receives.
13. We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months, including information of anyone under 16.
14. How long we keep information
- Orders, payments, returns and refunds: at least seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it.
- Account details: while your account is open, and then as needed to complete open orders or meet legal obligations.
- Support conversations: up to two years.
- Marketing sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, plus a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again.
- Site and security logs: usually under 12 months.
15. How we protect information
The store runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Access to customer data is limited to the people who run the store, protected by individual accounts. Database rules stop one customer from reading another customer's orders. Card details never touch our systems. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.
16. Your choices
- Marketing email: unsubscribe from any marketing message, or ask us to remove you.
- Account: see and edit your name, phone and saved address in Your account.
- Browser storage: clear it at any time; this empties your cart and signs you out.
- Do Not Track: we do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for the signal to turn off. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where they apply.
17. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use sensitive information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us from the email address on the account or order. We will ask for enough detail to confirm it is you, answer within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more. An authorized agent may make a request with written permission from you.
18. California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, the categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months are identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address), commercial information (orders and returns), internet activity (pages viewed and searches on our store), geolocation inferred from your ZIP or IP at the city level, and the contents of messages you send us. The sources, purposes, providers and retention periods are described above. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the rights listed in section 17 and may appeal a refused request by replying to our answer.
19. Other state privacy laws
Residents of states including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana have similar rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to appeal a decision. Use the contact details below and tell us which state you live in. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal effects.
20. Children
Shopimo is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
21. Where information is handled
We operate in the United States and our providers process information in the United States. If you use the store from outside the United States, you understand that your information is handled here.
22. Links to other sites
The store may link to other websites, such as a manufacturer's page or a carrier's tracking page. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.
23. Accessibility of this policy
If you need this policy in another format, tell us and we will provide it.
24. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change is significant we will say so on this page, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent.
25. Contact us
Privacy questions and requests: contact us through the store or write to Levy's Technologies LLC, 107 Technology Parkway, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.
