This pea is a favorite in Chinese and northern European dishes. Young, tender pods are especially tasty when chopped and steamed with butter. This sugar pea grows on 4 ft. vines that can be easily trellised or use plant weave. Prolific producers of larger 3/4 in. W x 4 in. x 5 in. L fleshy, sweet pods. The pods of Melting Sugar Pea are free of fiber and strings. You can eat Melting Sugar Pea raw, steamed or stir fried.
